Dr. Elizabeth M. Atkinson is from McHenry, Illinois. She earned her B.S. from University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in Psychology in 1988. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry in 1992. Dr. Atkinson is a board certified optometrist, licensed to diagnose and treat diseases of the eye, as well as prescribing eyeglasses and contact lenses. She completed an externship in primary care optometry and ocular disease at Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital as well as Illinois Visually Handicapped Institute in Chicago. Dr. Atkinson established Atkinson Eye Care in 1994 taking a personal approach to patient care. She enjoys spending time with family, the outdoors, and is active at church.

Dr. William R. Atkinson received his doctorate from Illinois College of Optometry in 1992 after completing his undergraduate studies at University of Illinois and Springfield College. Born and raised in New Berlin, Illinois, Dr. Atkinson was instrumental in the location and design of Atkinson Eye Care which opened in 1994, and also Woodstock Eye Care which was acquired and relocated in 2004. Dr. Atkinson completed an externship at Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital as well as in pediatrics at Maryville Academy in Des Plaines. He is a board certified optometrist licensed to diagnose and treat eye disease and prescribe contact lenses and glasses. He enjoys physical fitness, spending time with family, and is active at church.
